This classic wooden boat excels in all the details. After An Extensive Restoration this Chris Craft Has Been Reborn.

October 2018 update:

The seller has just spent $15,000 make small repairs as well as fixing dry rot and bottom painting. See the condition update below.

This beautifully restored classic is probably one of a kind. It was restored by Charlot Marine in PortlandOregon in 2002.

This included a new hull inner liner, mahogany boards and multiple coats of high gloss varnish.

A new Ipe' sole, upholstery, engine, reduction and running gear as well as controls, gauges, wiring, fuel tank, hoses and all new navigation equipment was accomplished.

This Sea skiff was a very popular boat in its day. Many could be seen cruising the Columbia River and the Puget Sound.

ConditionThe cockpit sole was removed and the hull compartments completely sanitized. In addition: 1. The boat cover for trailering Freshie has been repaired by Hayden Island Canvas and thoroughly cleaned. 2. The boat mooring cover which has only been used while the boat was moored in an enclosed boathouse has been cleaned and is in new condition. The cover was custom made for Freshie. 3. The boat was taken to Schooner Creek Boat Works in Portland where the following has been done: The bottom was sanded to the bare wood and two coats of epoxy sealer were applied. Three coats of a high-build epoxy filler were then applied to the bottom, and finally two coats of an epoxy bottom paint were applied over the filler coats. 4. The following structural issues were addressed: Dry rot was found in the bottom plank of the transom as well as in the backing plates for the exhaust ports, the lower transom frame, and the last 6inches of the keel. All dry rotted wood has been replaced and epoxied sealed. 5. The keel, skeg, and rudder were found to be in need of repair and those repairs have been completed.. 6. The old gas was drained from the tank and the tank removed to expose the above noted needed repairs. The following tasks remain to be done by Schooner Creek Boat Works: 7. Complete the refinishing of the transom; the boat name on the transom was not damaged by the transom repairs. 8. Lightly wet sand the foredeck, windshield (the wipers have been repaired are functional at this time), and the varnished aft deck and apply two coats of varnish. 9. The Sunbrella cushion covers have all been dry cleaned are in new condition.
