1988 BAYLINER 3888 FB MOTOR YACHT Description

    THE 3888 HAS LONG BEEN RECOGNIZED AS A GOOD VALUE FOR THOSE SEEKING A COMFORTABLE DIESEL CRUISER AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. BUILT ON A LOW-DEADRISE MODIFIED-V HULL, THE KEY FEATURE OF THE 3888 IS HER INNOVATIVE MID CABIN FLOORPLAN WITH A DOUBLE BERTH MID-CABIN. THE LOWER HELM WAS STANDARD IN THE SALON, AND THERE'S A SURPRISINGLY LARGE MASTER STATEROOM FORWARD. THERE ARE TWO HEADS, ONE WITH A TUB/SHOWER STALL. ON DECK THE COCKPIT IS LARGE ENOUGH FOR A COUPLE OF DECK CHAIRS AND AMPLE  SEATING FOR SIX ON THE FLYBRIDGE. SHE IS POWERED WITH TWIN HINO 175 H.P. DIESEL'S AND A 8 KW ONAN GENERATOR.   Entering the yacht on the 30 inch swim platform you go through a transom door on the starboard side of the cockpit. The cockpit is 5.5 feet by 12 feet wide this allows three people to fish in the cockpit or you may decide to just sit in one of the comfortable chairs and have a cold drink after a day of cruising. The port side engine room door has access to the port engine and the batteries and battery switches. The large floor hatch in the main salon allows access to the starboard engine. There are three hatches in the sole of the cockpit that allow you to access the aft end of the engines, packing glands and the genset. Up a ladder to the spacious flying bridge you will find seating for 6 with a bimini top to keep you in the shade while driving. Entering the salon from the cockpit you go through a sliding door; to port there is a large dinette with a Hi-Lo table. This space will easily seat 4-5 adults for dinner. To starboard inside the door is a wet bar with a sink and icemaker. There is good storage below and the counter is ample for serving dinner. The lower station is forward on the starboard side with a custom electrical panel, compass and electronics area. Down two steps the galley is to starboard with a stainless steel sinks, microwave oven and a three burner stove with oven. To port is the VIP stateroom with a queen bed and hanging locker. The Owner's Stateroom is forward with a Queen Island Bed the stateroom has an ensuite head with a sliding door to the Shower/Tub.The forward deck has ample room for a sunning pad and the anchor windlass can be operated from the bow or at the lower helm.
