This is a beautifully refurbished Century Resorter with a refurbished trailer, must see!
In the world of classic ski boats, Century is a name dripping with history and class. Back in the day is was Century and Chris-Craft duking it out for superiority and it's still a question as to which one won that particular race.
Through 1967 the Century Resorters were all built using old-time shipbuilding practices and materials, but in 1968 Century did something new and switched to fiberglass construction. Unlike today's boats, these first-generation fiberglass boats had hulls as thick as the old wood ones, hand-laid with a ton of resin making them rock hard and tough as nails. There's a reason you still find them around and find them free of blistering, water intrusion and rot, and it's all due to the boatbuilders' new fascination with fiberglass.
The late 60's styling is unmatched and this boat will be a head-turner wherever you take it. Its automotive-style steering column and gauges show the history of powerboats and how much they borrowed from automobiles as they worked to attract working Baby Boomers into the boating world.
This Century has been carefully refurbished with three coats of new paint, red and cream striped upholstery, a rubber floor, and refinished woodwork. The engine is a Chrysler 318, though whether it's original or not is unknown. It is reliable and plenty powerful to get skiers up and make lake cruising fun. The bottom paint is new.
The trailer that comes with this boat has been refurbished as well with new wheel hubs and bearings, tires, bunks, and fresh paint.
