SIGNIFICANT UPGRADES! SEE THE NEW VIRTUAL TOUR AND VIDEO! - Owner Financing May Be Available!

In her day, the Hatteras 53 Convertible was the industry standard for fishing yachts of 50' or more. She is very well proportioned with a long foredeck and low freeboard that is the perfect design for offshore fishing and, of course cruising!

In June of 2015, a renovation was completed including new wood plank flooring, cabinetry, granite counter tops throughout and a modern design for the baths. The lighting was also updated throughout the vessel.

Prior to the renovation the engines were rebuilt in 2014.

The Hatteras was painted, top to bottom with nonskid Awlgrip paint. Two new stereo systems with speakers throughout the vessel were added, one for the Salon and one for the Flybridge. The Aft Deck storage compartments were renovated and new cushions for the seating areas were added for the aft deck and the upper Helm. Additional renovation details are listed at the conclusion of the "Description".

There were a few different floor plans originally offered for the Hatteras. This particular vessel had a 2 Stateroom, Galley down configuration. During her renovation the owner moved the galley up to the Salon and added a 3rd Stateroom. It's a great design and an excellent use of space.

Now when you enter the Salon from the aft deck, the Galley is starboard. There is a recessed sink and stove, granite countertops and fine cabinetry. Port side is a couch that is positioned perfectly to view the counter-top mounted 40" smart TV that has integrated internet capabilities, an uncommon option for vessels.

Forward in the Salon are mirrored cabinets that camouflage the presence of a microwave, the AC electric panel, the stereo system for the Salon and Staterooms with individual speaker controls for each room. The Salon is complete with well-appointed LED lighting including rope lights for evening atmosphere. The plank wood flooring is a rich accent to the Salon presentation.

Moving forward to the lower deck, the beautiful wood plank flooring continues. The Master Stateroom is port with a full bath, granite countertops and a modern " glass bowl" sink. There is ample storage and a large hanging closest.

Heading further forward is the second Stateroom with two bunks, cabinetry, and a full bath with granite countertops and the same modern "glass bowl" sink. It too provides significant storage and a large hanging closet.

Opposite the Master Stateroom is the third Stateroom that was created when the Galley was moved up to the Salon. While relatively small compared to the other two Staterooms it is well designed with double bunks and additional storage compartments.

Exiting the Salon to the aft deck, you will first notice the "Fighting Chair". The deck is well appointed with color coordinated cushions for the seating throughout.

Next step, the ladder takes you to the Flybridge, where the continuity of color coordinated cushions for the swivel Helm chairs and the forward bench seat continues. The electronics include Garmin 741xs GPS and GMR 18 HD Radar System, a Vetus bow thruster and an. Icom VHF radio all of which were installed in 2015. The Robertson AP20 Auto Pilot may or may not work. The Seller has never used it. There is also a second Stereo with speakers and Bluetooth, remote and smartphone controls. Please refer to the video and virtual tour for a perspective relative to the electronics.

On either side of the Flybridge, additional ladders will take you to the Tuna Tower. There is not an upper helm control system at this time.

Returning down the ladder and moving to the foredeck, you will immediately notice the original bow railing has been replaced with a lower profile railing that wraps around the pulpit, and wood trim has been mounted on either side of the windlass. Both were a part of the 2015 renovation.

The current owner took pride in restoring this vessel! Considerable time and attention to detail were invested in the cosmetic renovation. That same focus was replicated in the mechanical and general functionality of the Hatteras. The core mechanical upgrades of the renovation are included in this overview:

-Complete rebuild of both engines in 2014, the first step in the process. Current engine hours 210.

2015 Upgrades:

-New MasPower 9 KW Genset with push button start, sound shield and auto safety shutdowns. Current hours as of 12/8/21 is 30 hours.

-New Vetus bow thruster with 275 lb thrust and joy stick controls

- New Garmin 741xsnd GMR 18 HD - GPS and Radar.

-Sensors removed and replaced with Garmin 8 pin setup.

-Completely repainted all deck surfaces from top to bottom with Awlgrip.

-Modern LED lighting throughout the interior, cockpit, underwater (Ocean Amphibian Pro Blue) and the XKGLOW LED bridge lighting with 3 million lighting combos and remote control.

-Two new stereo systems, one for the Salon and one for the Flybridge. Both with Bluetooth, remote, and smartphone controls.
