This 1979 Bertram 28 Sedan Cruiser Flybridge is a one of a kind pleasure and leisure fishing boat.
This boat hails from MA. The current owner purchased the boat in July 2015 after being abandoned at a local marina for about a year.
The boat is powered with twin Crusaders 5.7L engines.
Prior to the current owner, the original fuel tank was removed and was replaced with an aluminum fuel tank that holds an estimate of 140 gallons; it is unknown when this service was completed.
Over the last six years of ownership, as reported and provided by the owner the boat has been upgraded as follows (the seller has not provided documentation to confirm):
1. Replaced all the electrical wiring throughout the boat
2. Installed new:
a. Electric Panel
b. Hot Water Heater
c. Freshwater Plumbing
d. Raw Water Pump (2018),
e. House Battery (2020)
f. Re-upholstered the helm seat
g. Replaced the the v-berth wall covering
h. Fittings & hoses from fuel tank to engines
Aside from all the great work that has been completed on this classic boat, the boat stands true to her reputation of being a very durable and sturdy vessel in the rough sea, and handles very well in the variety of swells/waters of the Atlantic Ocean in and around Massachusetts.
The twin stations that are both operational that she offers are unique to other vessels in her same category/size.
She has a very spacious cockpit making for plenty of room for fishing and simple relaxing while on the water..
Another great feature that many don't think about is the higher bow rails that provide for a safer environment for when on the bow; especially for traveling with younger sailors.
Although this boat was abandoned due to unexpected issues of her last owner, she has been treated with tender love and attention that if it weren't for the current owner's desire to go bigger, she would be a permanent member of his family for many years to come.
