This classic 1985 Bluewater Costal Cruiser 51FC will be right at home cruising inland waterways and lakes or costal ocean waters.

The lower profile stands out against trawlers and aft cabin cruiser of a similar size and the 14.5ft. beam creates a wealth of interior space all throughout the boat.

Having acquired the boat in 2012, the current owners have focused on updating and refreshing the electrical and mechanical systems and kept up with the fit and finish work a boat of this size requires.

The onboard generator has long ago been removed and the current owners opted for a 3000W Victron DC/AC inverter with an estimated 600Ah of battery capacity. Charging is done via shore power or the 760W of solar charging capacity mounted on the hard top.

The whole system is WiFi enabled and can be managed and monitored via a phone app anywhere in the world!

For convenience, the owners have also labeled all connections and components throughout the boat.

The fore and aft cabins have full size beds as well as full heads. There is a single berth cabin off the kitchen, above the port side engine.

The salon, galley and dinette are all mid-ship and have an open feel and provide flexible options for furniture based on the new users plans.

ConditionThis 1985 Bluewater Coastal Cruiser 51FC is mechanically sound and is stored in a covered slip year round. Electrical systems were used throughout the boat during the photoshoot and everything functioned as expected. While the engines and water systems were not tested during the shoot, visually neither of them give any indications for concern. The boat has been in fresh water since the current owners acquired it in 2012 for certain and the previous owner used it as a freshwater boat as well. The boat was last pulled about 5 years ago at which time the bottom was inspected, cleaned and painted. While slightly dated, the interior presents well for it's age with no major rips or tears. The flybridge interior and canvas enclosures are in good condition, again for their age but, will benefit from a cleaning and detail job after sitting dockside most of last season. The galley has a full complement of appliances with a newer refrigerator/freezer on board. The current owners opted to use an induction cooktop instead of the electric stove and oven combo and are not sure if it is in working order. The exterior of the boat is solid and visually doesn't show cause for concern. The old windlass winch has been removed but the seller will include one for the new owner to install if they so choose. Despite being in a covered slip, the Midwest weather will likely have the new owner wanting to do a wash down and detail. There is noticeable paint peeling on the swim platform but it is solid when walking on it with no soft spots. If you're looking for a classic Coastal Cruiser that is usable from day 1 of ownership with the ability to outfit and customize to your tastes and plans, this Bluewater should definitely be on your list to consider.
