I have for sale a Folbot Kayak, its the Yukon Model with the expedtion kit and sail kit. I bought the kayak new in 2003, its the Anniversary Model 50 Years of Folbot and has been used only a few times, the remainder of the time its been stored in my heated basement. I am now in my 70s and would like to pass on the fun. Condition Description: This boat is 13' long with a 30" beam, and weighs 42 pounds. It has a 300 lb capacity and large open cockpit. The Yukon accommodates a 6' 4", 250-pound paddler with ease, but the seat adjusts for a smaller paddler who wants to be able to carry lots of gear. Plenty of capacity for extended trips, I had no problems getting a small tent, sleeping bag, and other assorted gear in the kayak. I also ordered a custom full length cover for the Kayak. Kayak sets up in about 15-20 min., and folds up into two packs (54x18x14in) that can store in your cars trunk or your gear closet. There is a third pack for the sail kit and rudder. Assembly is quick because of its three-frame construction and the capacity-to-weight ratio cannot be beaten. The Yukon tracks like a 16-foot boat and its initial and secondary stability are amazing. The Yukon is at home on oceans, lakes and flat water rivers. This boat can be expected to give years of trouble-free performance. The fore and aft decks are short enough to provide easy gear access without zippers. The Yukon comes in two bags evenly dividing the modest weight. The kayak was designed to be taken on airplanes. Used by roofers, the military and whitewater-raft makers, a synthetic rubber material called Elovaloy is tough like a rhinos hide and protects the hull of the Yukon. Urethane-coated polyester protects the deck; all outer material on the kayak resists UV light and is designed to take a beating without puncturing. Frame is just as sturdy as its skin, with stainless-steel keel brackets, aircraft-grade tubing and anodized aluminum cross pieces. Inflatable chambers called sponsons run the full length of the boat to increase tension and lock frame pieces into place; sponsons also flare out the hull to enhance the stability. Whats included? Full length cover, Carry Bags for kayak skin, frame, foot brace, 2 air sponsons, 2 safety bladders, 1 seat, and a factory patch kit; and complete sail kit. Also includes upgraded Items: 100% spray skirt, 1 paddle ( 2 piece), Note: These kayaks have been used successfully for ocean, fast moving rivers and even up to class 3 white water. These boats cost a great deal when purchased new and this boat is not only in excellent condition but has very expensive upgrades bringing the cost up. These are very serious kayaks and not at all like the plastic kayaks obtained everywhere for practically nothing. These boats are light and nimble and will get you through the toughest waters nature will throw your way. Also, I have fished from this boat a few times and the kayak is easy to load on my car even at my age. They are also not tippy and easy to get in and out of for seniors. Specs: Length 13 feet Width 30 inches Depth 14 inches Weight 42 pounds Cockpit Size 59x20 inches Seat Type Padded/Foam All the paper work, assembly instructions are included. The kayak can be sent in three boxes UPS ground, shipping costs will depend on your location. One package will be aprox. 50"x1 2"x12" and the second 32"x25"x10" total weight about 50 lbs. Similar for the third package. And a full length cover. The kayak is versatile, can be stored easily and well made and will give you years of satisfaction. Item will be removed when sold.
