This one of a kind custom Newton 28 CC is a fantastic, rugged, and well maintained offshore fishing boat!
The boat's heavy construction, custom reverse chine, and dual counter-rotating propellers help it to cut smoothly through offshore waves. Also, the mid-engine weight displacement paired with an inboard/outboard outdrive gives the boat fantastic low-speed maneuverability when at a particular fishing spot.
There is ample deck space, as well as storage with 7 dry lockers and 3 insulated ice/fish holds built into the hull! The center console has a very user-friendly multi-function display paired with a digital Yanmar readout and a Ritchie Compass. There are a total of 16 rod holders located on the helm seat, bimini top, and on the coaming for ample rod storage and to work multiple lines at once.
Underway or fishing, the boat is designed for maximum comfort and performance. The Yanmar diesel inboard is a time tested powerplant, and with the counter-rotating propellers, you can get great take-off and low RPM performance.
While operating the boat you will be at the comfortable and elevated helm seat with plenty of places to hold on if the seas are rough. For passengers, or if you are looking to relax while fishing, the forward seat has been extended so that 3-4 can comfortably sit and fish opposite sides of the boat. Messes are a breeze to clean up with the fresh water wash down and 30-gallon fresh water tank!
The boat would be great for recreational or professional guided fishing as well as more commercial uses or as a dive platform!
