While there are numerous 19-foot bowriders on the market, Sea Ray has positioned its new 190 Sport at the high end, with a premium price that reflects the high quality appointments and fit and finish.

The sweeping reverse sheerlines and graphics are accented by several optional three-tone gelcoat colour schemes or full hull and bottom colours for a total custom look. The generous use of stainless steel, including rub rail insert, vents and thru-hull fittings, point to the quality approach. This also includes six cleats, so the 190 has mid cleats to hang fenders - something missing from many competitors.

A real change for this sport boat is the curved black framed windshield, which adds to the 190’s sporty appearance.

The bow area is quite spacious with moulded finished storage under the seats, moulded arm rests, solid stainless grab handles and a second set of marine grade stereo speakers. The upholstery here and throughout the boat is two-tone premium marine grade vinyl. The details in the sculpting, pattern, stitching and embroidery in the swivelling and sliding helm seats highlight Sea Ray’s attention to detail and quality.

The helm features custom gauges, illuminated switches, power steering with tilt sport wheel and a dash visor to cut glare. On the passenger side, a lockable glove box conceals the Sony marine sound system.

The aft bench seat is full width, with a removable base cushion to starboard for boarding and a larger, hinged cushion that reveals an insulated and draining locker. The standard sun pad opens like gull wings, with innovative hinges and gas struts to access the engine compartment and outboard storage. For accessing the water, owners will appreciate the standard extended swim platform.

The base power for the 190 is a three-litre MerCruiser sterndrive. Hull construction and design has been refined over years of Sea Ray sport boat design and should perform well. If you opt for the watersports tower, you may wish to opt for the MerCruiser 4.3-litre 220-hp MPI ECT as well.
