Pricecraft’s Vectra series is one step up from their entry level Jazz line. There are nine models that range from 17 to 25 feet in length. With a base price under $26,000, the Vectra is the least expensive 25-foot boat in the Princecraft line-up. With three plush lounges, a swivel helm chair, four gates and bimini top all as standard equipment, the Vectra represents significant value.

Our test boat was equipped in the most popular Sport configuration with lifting strakes, spray shield and half third log, which really helps bring the nose up. Handling was very flat with the outer strakes and one-finger steering was indeed possible with the optional Panther XPS power steering. The 150 four-stroke Mercury had plenty of power, but without the full third log, felt a bit wasted. I’d like to try this boat with the lighter 115 Pro XS CT.

The layout of the standard Vectra is open and roomy with two chaise lounges up front and an L-shaped aft lounge to port. The helm chair swivels so four people can easily sit together. There’s plenty of storage under each lounge and a pop-up privacy enclosure under the aft sunpad, conveniently located next to the swim platform. The console is well laid out and the armrest extension allows the flush mount remote to be located closer to the helm seat.

What would make this boat even better for me, is moving the navigation lights to the fencing and expanding the swim platform by lengthening the rear deck to be flush with the engine mount.

The Classic Edition package upgrades the upholstery, helm chair and steering wheel, while adding LED console lighting, more cup holders and those cool chrome docking lights. This boat had the cushy select vinyl flooring. While these options do raise the price, this Vectra is still under $50,000 even with the 150 Mercury. Equipping the 115 Pro XS CT should get the price below $47,000. Pretty good value if you ask me.
